Congratulations to all - the New Groomer has arrived - Ed @ 11:00 EST
An application for a Federal Grant to provide funding for the Webster Ridge Runners to purchase a Trail Groomer was completed and submitted over one and a half years ago. On March 17th 2001, the TracTruck Groomer was delivered from Mabie Bros. Equipment to the Webster Ridge Runners. We hope to have the groomer available for inspection by the membership at our year end and 25th Anniversary Party on march 24th. This begins a new era for the Ridge Runners and will require a learning curve on everyone's part. Even though it arrived too late for this season it should provide us with professional quality trail grooming in the future. Through the effort of these and many other individuals the club will benefit with a much more rideable trail system. When a photo is available it will be posted on our website. GREAT JOB EVERYONE
A special thanks go to John Biuso, Mike Clifford, Jim Finger, Kurt Peacox and Tom Nelson.

NYSSA 2001 Spring Forum Plans - Ed @ 19:22 EST
February 27, 2001 Dear NYSSA member clubs: Forum 2001 is scheduled for Saturday, April 7th and Sunday, April 8th at The Beeches in Rome, N.Y. Enclosed is a tentative agenda, registration form, nominations for office and map/directions. Forum 2001 is a two-day event. Informational sessions are scheduled for Saturday morning and afternoon from 9:00 - 5:00. The NYSSA Annual Meetings is scheduled for Sunday morning from 9:00 to noon. The Annual Meeting is the opportunity for clubs to send delegates to vote on critical issues facing the state association and give direction to the Board of Directors. The cost to attend the Forum is $25.00 per person. That cost includes lunch and breaks in the morning and afternoon on Saturday and in the morning on Sunday. Those registering at the door on the day of the Forum or after the Forum registration due date will pay a registration fee of $30.00 per person. To be eligible for the $25.00 registration fee, the NYSSA office must receive your registration no later than April 4th, 2001. The number of NYSSA members in the club determines the number of voting delegates each club is entitled to have cast votes on its behalf. That number must be verified in advance of the Annual Meeting with the Membership Chair, Jim Jennings (518-624-6741 or rideacat@telenet.net). AJI member clubs are entitled to at least one voting delegate. Voting delegate regulations can be found in the by-laws of the state association. All voting delegates must be registered to attend the Forum. Your address label will be highlighted in yellow if our records indicate your club's membership has not been renewed. Several issues of great importance will be presented, discussed and voted upon at the-Annual Meeting. At the informational sessions of the Forum@ club representatives will be able to hear the latest in changes in the trails fund program and changes in the legislative picture. For example, after three years of presentation at the Forum, several snowmobile clubs are benefiting from the federal T-21 trails fund program to purchase roomers. Come and find out how it was done. There are no by-laws proposals or proposals for legislative initiatives to present to the voting delegates at the Annual Meeting. At the conclusion of the Annual Meeting, the new Board of Directors begins its term of office. Only those directors elected by NYSSA member clubs in the district are eligible to serve on the Board of Directors. If you or your club has any questions or concerns, please contact the NYSSA office. Sincerely, Jeff Johnson – NYSSA President
