Trail Update 12-27-2001
- Ed @ 08:04 EST

We are ready to go if only we had a little snow! Thanks to the efforts of Dick Weidman, John Smith, Bob Cook, Joe Scofero, Chris Priest, and Mike Adams, the Bridge over the new “Plank Road River” has been replaced.

There is also a new culvert in the creek on the Kraft farm, which was donated by Gary Kraft. When you are on the trails this year and you can find your way around, it is because of the outstanding efforts of Dick and Jim Weidman, Joe Scofero, Ray Yorkey, Andy Tanghe, Jeff Van Wie, Tim Catlin, Brian Rittenhouse, Chris Matison, A.J. Heiligman, Greg Remann, Dave Nappi, Rich Meyvis, Steve Barone, Bob Cook, John Smith, Sam Chinelli, Ed Duffy and Harry Willmes.

PLEASE NOTE!! The powerline north of Brick Church Road is closed due to security concerns at Ginna.
If you notice any trail issues once we get riding, please see what you can do to fix them while you are there. There is a supply of trail signs at Dick Weidman’s home so stop by and pick up some if you think that they are needed on the trail. If there are serious problems regarding the trails (besides not having any snow) please contact me at pty@rochester.rr.com or 671-6872. We will do what we can to make sure that our members have a safe and enjoyable riding experience. If you see people on the trails that do not have a Webster Ridge Runner sticker on their sled, please encourage them to join the club. Carry a few applications in a zip lock bag on your sled. Remember that there is no such thing as a free ride. Somebody is paying and that somebody is you.

Paul Yesersky

12/10/01 Trail Marking - Dec. 15 & 16 - Ed @ 04:32 EST

Volunteers are needed to help mark the trail system this weekend. We will be meeting at The Weidman’s – 1111 County Line Road at 8:30 am on Saturday and Sunday. If we get enough people, we may be able to do everything on Saturday.

The trail system will be divided into several sections with teams taking responsibility for marking each section. We also need several volunteers who are experienced with marking the trails to be team leaders for a trail section.

This may be your last chance to support the club by working on the trails this year, so step up and show up.

This is also a good opportunity to do a final trimming on the trails so bring some pruning shears if you have them. ATVs will also be helpful as will screw guns.

Please let me know if you will be participating by sending me an e-mail at pty@rochester.rr.com. If you would like to be a team leader, please let me know what section of the system you are thoroughly familiar with. The Club thanks you in advance for your support. Let’s get ready to ride like the wind.

Regards,
Paul Yesersky
