11/11/01 A Great Morning in the Woods - Ed @ 18:47 EST
As you will see, that nasty culvert along with several mud holes are no longer problems in Barry’s woods. In addition, the trail between Salt and Harris has been widened so that it is at least 10 feet wide at its narrowest point. For those of you who have ridden that section, you know that is an increase of about 7 feet. All of this is thanks to the labor of Dick Weidman, Joe Schirmer, Steve Barone, Rod and Spencer Wright, Richard Meyvis, John Biuso, Chris Priest, Bob Cook and Sam and Joe Chinelli. Great job everyone! We are almost ready to ride like the wind. If you can help marking the trails in December, please contact me at pty@rochester.rr.com so that I can update you on the schedule. Regards,
Paul Yesersky

11/05/01 Trail Days Sunday 11th - Ed @ 20:15 EST
Yes, we had another very successful week. I didn’t think that we were going to be able to get it all together but we did. During the week, Dick Weidman and I worked together to trim and mow the section of trail leading in to the Webster Inn bridge. On Saturday morning Sam Chinelli and I moved the telephone poles from Don Wilson’s garage to the work site. On Saturday afternoon Tim Bechtold and Todd Frank joined me with a backhoe and an ATV. We laid the poles across the creek and excavated the site. By 3:00 it was ready for the Sunday morning crew. Thanks to the super effort David Nappi, A.J. Heiligman, Chris Matison, Greg Remann, Joe Schirmer, and Steve Gall along with Big John Smith and his son, and Mark Soresky and his son, we have a new bridge to the Webster Inn. This one has 6 telephone poles under it and is 10 feet wide. Things are looking good! Now you will all be able to get to the Webster Inn and put a contribution in the jar to fuel the groomer. We are almost there, but not quite yet. You still have a chance to join in this weekend and help. Work detail will be held on Sunday November 11th to trim and widen several sections of trail. We also need to do something about this little trap in Barry’s woods: Once again, thanks to everyone who worked last week? You did an excellent job and I am sure that the rest of the membership will appreciate your efforts. Regards,
We will start from the Weidman’s at 1111 County Line Road at 8:30 a.m. If you are planning on working please let me know by e-mail at pty@rochester.rr.com or at (716) 671-6872. Again, bring your own food and drinks as well as things that cut, dig, pry, and snip. Any additional ATVs will be helpful.
