JOIN NOW, DON’T WAIT FOR THE SNOW! Early registrations determine our grant funding $’s !

NYSSSA reports the OPRHP (Office of Parks, Rec & Historical Preservation) examines the registration numbers received by DMV during the fall and makes a projection on what registrations will likely be by the time the program year ends next March. If registration numbers are low in the fall, then projections will also be low. Low projections of registrations mean less money the program that will be able to use and the lower trail rates will be. OPRHP will not adjust trail rates once they are decided in the fall. Registration funds received in excess of the projected income (and therefore program expenses) are rolled over into the next year.
